Derby CAMRA Branch
The Derby Branch are the people responsible for the
area directly south of the Chesterfield and District area.
Now back online! |
 |
Erewash Valley CAMRA Branch
"In 1996 a small group of like-minded people met at
the Good Beer Guide listed pub The Dewdrop in Ilkeston. Their aim was to form
the Erewash Valley branch of CAMRA in an area that was largely neglected by the
neighbouring branches of Nottingham and Derby.
We began life as a Nottingham sub-branch until in May 2000 we branched out
independently, growing from strength to strength until we can now boast a branch
membership of approx. 260, a steady rise year on year of around 25%."
|

|
Mansfield and Ashfield CAMRA Branch
"Mansfield & Ashfield Branch of the Campaign for
Real Ale lies in the East Midlands, about 15 miles north of Nottingham. It
covers an area of some 240 square miles, mainly in Nottinghamshire (but we do
have some parts of Derbyshire as well) and has over 220 pubs of which nearly
half serve real ale."
|
 |
North Notts CAMRA Branch
The area currently covered by the North Notts Branch was originally part of
Doncaster and Nottingham Branches. In 1981, a number of Retford members tested
the water with a public meeting at The Turks Head, the subsequent interest
convinced St Albans of the viability of a Branch based upon Retford, Worksop and
the surrounding areas. The Branch's boundaries consist, in the south, a line
roughly below Sutton on Trent in the east, and Nether Langwith in the west, and
all of Nottinghamshire to the north.

Sheffield CAMRA Branch
The Sheffield & District branch of
CAMRA are the people responsible for the area directly north
of the Chesterfield and District area. |

The scheme is operated by an independent body called Cask Marque Trust. Pubs that join the scheme will be visited unannounced by an independent assessor twice a year... The assessor will check all cask ales on sale for - temperature, appearance, aroma and taste. If the pub passes it receives a plaque, framed certificate and merchandising material to inform its customers of the award and their rights.

Society of Independent Breweries (SIBA)
Beer and ale have been traditional and wholesome foods and beverages
for well over 2000 years, and many styles are indigenous and unique to
the British Isles. SIBA members seek to preserve these traditional
styles and their traditional methods of manufacture, whilst at the same
time demonstrating the skill of their craft through creativity,
invention and innovation.
